LEAFS TV TO TELEVISE 12 MAPLE LEAFS GAMES IN 2004-05

(June 3, 2004) -- John Shannon, vice-president of programming and executive producer of Leafs TV and Raptors/NBA TV, announced Thursday that Leafs TV will exclusively broadcast 12 Maple Leafs games on the club-owned digital channel during the 2004-05 regular season.

"This is a great step forward in the evolution of Leafs TV," said Shannon. "Live broadcasts are what all-sports television channels are all about and these games will complete what is already the best all-round Maple Leafs package available to our current and future subscribers."

TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS TV TO TELEVISE WORLD CUP PRE-TOURNAMENT GAMES  

(June 11, 2004) --  Leafs TV announced Friday that it has gained exclusive broadcast rights to four World Cup of Hockey pre-tournament games in August.

Three games feature Team Canada beginning August 23 against the defending champion Team USA in Columbus, Ohio at the Nationwide Arena. The two teams will match up again two nights later in Ottawa August 25 at the Corel Centre. Canada completes its pre-tournament schedule against Slovakia August 28, also in Ottawa. Leafs TV will also carry the Russia-USA game August 27 from Columbus.

Leafs TV is currently available through most television service providers in the Maple Leafs region.
TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS ANNOUNCE LOCATION FOR 2004 TRAINING CAMP

(June 16, 2004) -- John Ferguson, general manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced Wednesday that the city of Kitchener, Ontario will be the site of the team's 2004 training camp.

"Our organization is very pleased with the selection of Kitchener," said Ferguson. "In previous training camps, the Maple Leafs enjoyed tremendous hospitality from the City of Kitchener, the Kitchener Rangers and the strong legion of Maple Leafs fans in the community. We are excited and looking forward to a productive week of preparation and development for our hockey club."

(June 26, 2004) -- The first draft pick of the John Ferguson era is goaltender Justin Pogge from Prince George of the Western Hockey League. The native of Ft. McMurray, Albert posted three shutouts, a 2.83 goals-against average and a winning record (17-18-2) in 44 appearances last season.
MAPLE LEAFS ANNOUNCE STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING CAMP INVITEES

(July 7, 2004) -- The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Wednesday the group of 19 players that will participate in the Maple Leafs strength and conditioning mini-camp this weekend.

The group of three goaltenders, eight defencemen and eight forwards will congregate in Toronto Thursday, July 8 to prepare for three days of testing and workouts at York University and Reebok Station Seven fitness club.
